Cindy Sensesak Graduates with Honors
Cindy Sensesak earned the
Nursing Proficiency Award
Nine students graduated Friday evening from Sharon Regional Health System's School of Nursing during a ceremony in the school's Morrison Hall.
One of the graduates, Cindy Sensesak of Greenville, earned the Nursing Proficiency Award, which the faculty presents to the student who best exemplifies attributes needed to be a competent and caring clinical practitioner. The award was presented by Sherry Greenburg, assistant director of the school.
Other graduates included Brad Begeot of Brookfield, Tracy Biros of Hermitage, Michelle Bland of Cortland, Sharresse Craig of Sharon, Deborah Daliman of West Middlesex, Jennifer Hnida of Hubbard, Danielle Marrie of Sharpsville and LeShauna Postell of Youngstown.
Shirley Dilliman of Penn State Shenango gave the graduation address and James E. Feeney, chairman of Sharon Regional's board of directors, presented diplomas.
Nora Bennett, director of the School of Nursing, presented pins and Ms. Greenburg presented honor cords.
Thomas Petricini, an instructor at the school, gave personal "thank-yous" and John Davidson, vice president for human resources, was master of ceremonies.
The students are the final graduates of the school's 26-month curriculum. The current 16-month program is designed to meet the needs of students in the new millennium.
Following completion of 26 college credit prerequisites, students enter the School of Nursing and progress through four 15-week semesters.The improved structure provides quick entry into the profession while maintaining the traditional Sharon Regional School of Nursing strength of varied and intense clinical experience.
