Many of the Improvements Scheduled for the Kennerdell Look-Out were Completed in the Past few Months with the Financial Assistance of the Oil Regional Alliance, Misty Ridge and Handsome Lake Energy.  Although there are More Improvements Scheduled to take Place in the Spring of 2007...with a Formal Dedication to Follow, we thought it would be nice to Upgrade the Photo Now.  This Photo was Provided by the Oil Regional Alliance and shows the Improvement in the View which was the Result of the Removal of 197 Trees which were Obscuring the Beautiful View

Cleaning Up the Kennerdell Look-Out... Yet Again  "2005"
(See photo below)

On June 4, 2005, ATVtraction members put forth a major effort to clean up the Kennerdell Look-Out yet again.  Please view the picture and article links below.  Although the scan quality did not turn out as we had expected, we still thought it would be OK to post what we have.  Once again, we would like to thank ATVtraction's Venango Chapter for its participation in this clean-up event.

Look-Out Project

As you may have read in the Derrick, The Brandon Dump clean-up project is now complete.  Ms, Barbara Perlstein, who played a key roll in this effort, is now working toward another significant local project which will have a positive impact upon the Kennerdell area...specifically a major " over-haul " of the Kennerdell Look-Out.

In an effort to support this project and to keep our friends & neighbors appraised as to what's going on, we've developed this " Look-Out Project " page within our web-site, which will track the progress of this worthwhile project.  At this point, there are still lots of " funding details " which still need to be worked out, however, thanks to Ms. Perlstein, the ship is now moving in the right direction.  Thanks Barbara...and good luck!

Cleaning Up the Kennerdell Look-Out...Again
(See photos below)

On April 20th, 2002, the Pennsylvania Cleanways Group, and a number of Kennerdell residents showed up,...armed with shovels, rakes, ropes & chains...not to mention a couple of backhoes, high pressure washers and chainsaws. The task at hand...Clean up the Kennerdell Look-Out YET AGAIN! As is visible within a few of the posted photos, the " booty " was significant. Although many of the heavier items were not able to be retrieved due to safety and / or engineering concerns...most of the garbage was bagged and hoisted to the surface for removal by PennDOT.

We, the residents of Kennerdell, would like to thank these folks for taking time out of their busy schedules to make a contribution to the area. We would also like to thank the Rockland Township / Kennerdell VFD for providing " Two of Their Finest " and a Water Truck,...which made the removal of the grafitti possible.

Also, thanks is due to Mr. Ron Himes for helping to coordinate the effort and for providing a great home-cooked lunch.

PLEASE DON'T LITTER !!!
